Letter from the Dean
Arizona, we are pleased to announce that Wagner Leadership Institute (WLI) opened at Skyway Church of the West Valley in September 2006 as a regional school in the Phoenix area! At WLI Phoenix we want to see the largest number of saints trained to fulfill their God-given destiny at the highest level of excellence that can be attained.
C. Peter Wagner founded WLI Central in 1997 with the passion to train and equip men and women for the work of the ministry (Eph. 4:12). Graduates are making powerful contributions in whatever sphere of society that God has assigned them. WLI is a non-accredited school that is highly recognized in many Christian circles. The three levels of diploma recognition are: Bachelor of Practical Ministry, Master of Practical Ministry, and Doctor of Practical Ministry.
The educational paradigm of WLI differs considerably from traditional academic models of ministerial or ordination track education. The faculty is drawn from experienced and successful apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers who have the ability to communicate the truths of God’s word, to articulate what the Spirit is currently saying to the churches, to apply these insights to the contemporary world, and to cast a challenging vision for a future of social transformation. WLI also models and imparts to their students a character of holiness and humility, an activation of the gifts that God has given to each one, and a filling of the Holy Spirit that will provide the power to be everything that God wants them to be in this life.
The schedule of WLI Phoenix also reflects this new paradigm of higher education. Classes will be held three days, one time a month for nine months out of the year and can be taken live in the classroom at Goodyear, Arizona or via web casting. The student will receive credit for each class after writing and turning in a self evaluation paper.
