Courses

Classroom courses are the major training component provided directly by WLI. Live classes must make up 50% of the total diploma level TUs which includes both classroom courses and web classes. While the format may vary according to need, a typical model is a 2 ½ day course, taught by one or more of the top practitioners in the field and will typically provide 15 hours of classroom instruction. These courses carry 4 TUs each for attending the class and an extra 2 TUs may be earned for reading 500 pages of related material. They are not diploma-specific, meaning that any of the courses can be used for any of the diploma levels.

Core Topics and Courses

In order to help preserve the DNA of WLI within the United States, each U.S. student must complete at least one course in each of the required Core Areas for each diploma level.  With just a few exceptions, these courses must be obtained through WLI Central in Colorado Springs and can be taken in one of the following formats: live in the classroom, by live web cast, or CD/DVD.  These Core Courses must be purchased at the regular WLI prices which are exempt from WLI Phoenix’s Scholarship prices.  A list of the approved Core Classes and the order form may be obtained through the Dean’s Department.  The six core topics are:

                               ● Apostolic                                 ● Intercession

                               ● Prophetic                                 ● Spiritual Warfare

                               ● Deliverance                              ● Healing, Signs and Wonders

Home-Based Study

While WLI Phoenix is not a correspondence school, it is nevertheless recognized that many students find it very difficult to travel outside of their own community in order to attend classroom courses or WLI certified events. To meet these needs, a whole program of home-based courses has been developed for up to 50% of the total TUs. Some of North America’s most outstanding Christian teachers have their material on audio and video tapes, and of recent, courses on the internet. Many students also desire to develop reading courses tailor-made to their needs. Some projects directly associated with an individual’s ministry deserve to earn training units. Authors may desire to receive credit for writing books and articles. Mission trips and prayer journeys are recognized learning experiences.
